I’m returning to the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts.
I am honored to say that this year, I am returning for the third year as a participating designer at the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts.
The 2026 Showcase House is the Baldwin Oaks Estate in Arcadia, a shingle-style residence built in 1907 at the height of the American Arts and Crafts movement. It was once owned by Clara Baldwin Stocker, the eldest daughter of Elias Jackson "Lucky" Baldwin, the wealthy pioneer credited with developing Arcadia and the surrounding areas.
The house opens to the public on April 19 and runs through May 17, 2026.
The Space I Designed: The Vestibule and Powder Room
This year, I chose the vestibule and powder room. Small in footprint, enormous in potential.
My approach was rooted in something I return to in every project: the belief that a cohesive space is not predictable, but has its own story. I began with a hand-illustrated wallpaper depicting wildlife in the vestibule. That wallpaper became the entire story. From its tones, I pulled a warm mustard for the trim, using color to frame the space and carry the eye from one room to the next. The result is the kind of continuity that feels inevitable once you see it.
In the powder room, warm wood paneling meets a patterned terra-cotta tiled wall. The pairing is textural, warm, and grounded. It does what great material combinations always do: it makes the space feel like it has always been exactly that way. A leopard-print window curtain joins the composition, not as a statement piece seeking attention, but as a natural participant, unified by the already established color palette.
Brass accents in the lighting and finishes balance the warmth throughout, and every material choice circles back to those original wallpaper tones. The rooms are moody and layered, and they tell a story from the moment you step inside.
I am grateful to the partners who helped bring this vision to life. Kohler, Foothill Tile and Stone, Corston, Visual Comfort, and House of Hackney each contributed something essential to the finished space.
Come See It in Person
I designed this space for people who understand that a home is more than furniture and finishes. It is a reflection of how you want to feel when you walk through the door. That is exactly what I do for every project I take on. I listen, I look closely at how you live, and I translate all of it into a space that is layered, intentional, and unmistakably yours. If you have been waiting for a home that truly reflects who you are, I would love to be the one to design it.
I would truly love to see you at the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts.
