Altadena, CA ~ Living Room

You know that feeling when you walk into a room in your own home, and something just does not feel right? You have rearranged it. You have added things and taken things away. You have scrolled through more inspiration than you can count. And still, the space does not feel like you. That is usually the moment someone reaches out to me.

Every project I take on begins the same way with a consultation.

I want to understand your space from the inside out. What do you love about it? What is not working? How do you actually live in it? The 90-minute design consultation is the foundation on which everything else is built.

What happens during our consultation?

When we meet, whether in person or virtually, I come prepared. You will have completed a thorough design questionnaire in advance, so we can spend our time together going deeper rather than gathering information. We will talk through your aesthetic in detail, discuss what has drawn you to certain spaces or styles, what is not functioning for you, the flow of the space, and clarify your goals for the project.

This step is where I learn what makes your space yours, and where you get a sense of how I work. That understanding is what allows the design process to unfold with clarity and intention.

What if I only need a consultation?

One of the things I love about the consultation is that it can stand entirely on its own. If you have a room that has been bothering you for months, a renovation you are not sure how to approach, a furniture arrangement that has never quite felt right, or simply a list of design questions, a 90-minute consultation gives you direct access to a professional perspective.

We can talk through anything design-related. Color, layout, sourcing, style direction, what to keep, and what to let go. You will leave with clarity and a point of view you can act on.

Why is it important?

In over nine years of working with clients, I have seen what happens when projects begin without this kind of foundation.

The consultation exists because thoughtful design begins with listening and clarity.

If you are ready to talk through your space, I would love to set up a consultation.
